My name is Sherman Lai, and I'm a design professional.
I am currently employed at P E R K I N S + W I L L (an interdisciplinary, research-based architecture and design firm that ranks among the world’s top design firms) as an Arch II staff designer. I have experience working on projects from multiple market sectors, bringing specialized technical knowledge of museums, exhibits, visitor centers, and commercial interiors to my firm's significant healthcare practice. With prior firms, I have worked on educational, residential, multi-family, mixed-use, and adaptive reuse projects. My designs have been recognized by the AIA (Outpost Nestled In The Badlands), and the projects I have worked on have been featured in the National Geographic and on NPR (National Public Radio).
I am currently taking the ARE (Architect Registration Examination) for my initial registration and license. I look forward to LEED accreditation and future NCARB certification for licensure reciprocity to practice architecture throughout the United States.
You'll likely find me at a design lecture, the next AIA National Convention, or out and about exploring a new urban city. I'm all about building new business relationships and opportunities.
